Chaparral student wins grand prize in National Parks art contest

Chaparral High School senior Rebekah Solorzano will have her drawing sold as collectible stickers at Lake Mead National Recreation Area as part of winning the grand prize in the “Every Kid in a Park” art contest.

Solorzano’s work was among 400 entries from Clark County students.

The contest was held in honor of the National Park Service centennial and included students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
