Clark County coroner IDs man killed in crash near Twain at Grand Canyon

The Clark County coroner’s office has identified the driver killed in Tuesday night’s crash near Twain Avenue and Grand Canyon Drive.

Las Vegas resident Levon Movsisyan, 19, was driving a 2013 Hyundai Genesis when he collided with a 2004 Infinity G35 and crashed into a residential wall and a lamp post.

Police responded to the wreck at Twain and Paria Canyon Street just after 6:50 p.m.

The Hyundai and Infinity were speeding while heading west on Twain Avenue, according to police. The drivers lost control of the cars when the Infinity struck the right rear of the Hyundai as they crossed Grand Canyon Avenue. The cars spun onto the sidewalk where they hit the wall and lamp post.

Movsisyan died at the scene. The driver of the Infinity, Pedram Salmani, 18, and his passenger, a 17-year-old boy, were taken to University Medical Center in serious condition.

Police are still investigating. This is Metro’s 34th traffic-related fatality in 2014.
