Coroner identifies Henderson man killed in Lake Mead accident

The man who died in a two-vehicle collision Monday morning near Lake Mead National Recreation Area was identified Tuesday by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Kenneth Monroe Whiteaker, 51 of Henderson, died after two vehicles collided head-on about 10:15 a.m. on Northshore Road, near mile marker 2.

Whiteaker was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people were flown to area hospitals following the crash, according to Park Services spokeswoman Christie Vanover.
