SILVERTON TO HOST FOODIE FEST

The Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road, plans to host the Las Vegas Foodie Fest from noon to 11 p.m. April 28 and noon to 9 p.m. April 29.
Admission is $7 in advance at lasvegasfoodiefest.com and $10 the day of the event. Children under 54 inches tall will be admitted free.
The festival is set to feature more than 30 gourmet food trucks, 15 food booths, a beer garden, farmers market, carnival rides and live entertainment. SEASONS BUFFET ANNOUNCES APRIL DINING SPECIALS AT SILVERTON

The Seasons Buffet at the Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road, is offering dining specials this month.

Silverton Rewards Club cardholders can receive lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays for $9.99 ($10.99 without a card) and dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. for $13.99 ($15.99 without a card) Mondays through Wednesdays and Fridays. A 50-plus promotion is $5 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

On Thursdays, a themed dinner is planned from 4 to 9 p.m. for Polynesian Night, and guests with a card can eat for $19.99 ($21.99 without a card).

SMASHBURGER OFFERING FRESH MEX BURGER FOR LIMITED TIME

Las Vegas Smashburger locations are offering a new Fresh Mex Burger through April 29.

The burger is topped with fresh avocado, chopped cilantro, onions, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and spicy chipotle mayo on a Mexican roll and served with a wedge of lime.

The Fresh Mex Burger also can be made as a chicken sandwich.

Smashburger locations in the Las Vegas Valley are at 7541 W. Lake Mead Blvd., 9101 W. Sahara Ave., 5655 Centennial Center Blvd. and 4725 S. Maryland Parkway.

THE CUPCAKERY WINS BEST OF LAS VEGAS

The Cupcakery has been recognized for the second year in a row as Best of Las Vegas in the category of Best Cupcakes in Las Vegas by the Las Vegas-Review Journal poll.

The Cupcakery took both the reader and Las Vegas-Review Journal staff picks.

JW MARRIOTT ANNOUNCES APRIL DINING SPECIALS

Ceres at the JW Marriott, 221 N. Rampart Blvd., is offering a breakfast buffet in April.

The Good Start Buffet is $16 and includes seasonal fruit, smoked salmon, oatmeal, breakfast breads, bagels, muffins, coffee, tea and juice. The All American Buffet is $19 and features the Good Start items, along with eggs cooked to order, waffles, daily meat selections, pancakes and French toast.

Buffets and a full breakfast menu are available from 6 to 11 a.m. weekdays, 6 a.m. to noon Saturdays and 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays.

Ceres also is offering a three-course tasting menu Tuesdays through Saturdays in April. Options change weekly. The cost is $29.95.

J.C. Wooloughan’s Irish Pub is offering $14 dinner specials in April, beginning at 5 p.m. daily, while supplies last. Monday is chicken pot pie, Tuesday is roasted prime rib of beef, Wednesday is Irish Night, Thursday is roasted half chicken, Friday is bouillabaisse (seafood and vegetables), Saturday is roasted leg of lamb and Sunday is roasted pork loin.

An Angus burger special is available for $5.99 in April at the pub. It features a burger and a side of fries or a side salad.

THE Cannery announces April dining specials

Vino’s at the Cannery, 2121 E. Craig Road, is offering focaccia pasta bakes for $9.99 in April.

The bakes are freshly baked Italian bread stuffed with five possible combinations: spinach and artichoke; pancetta; sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts; chicken and pest cream; prosciutto, fresh basil and garlic; or meatball and marinara. Add a glass of signature wine for $3.99.

Waverly’s is offering Wine Down Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. Fridays in April in the bar. Wine by the glass, martinis and appetizers are $5 each.

The Canteen is offering Ultimat vodka or Markham merlot for $5.99 each, limit one person, while supplies last.

LINDO MICHOACÁN TO HOST CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION

Lindo Michoacán, 7870 W. Tropical Parkway, plans to host a Cinco de Mayo celebration at 4 p.m. May 5.

The festival is set to feature live music by Mario Olivares & Band, Gravedad Rock and Mariachi Mexico Antiguo, a ballet folklorico performance by Ballet Sol de Mexico, food and raffle prizes.

BORDER GRILL PLANS TEQUILA DINNER

Border Grill at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to host a Clasé Azul tequila dinner at 6:30 p.m. April 19.

A cocktail and appetizer reception is planned, with a five-course dinner set for 7 p.m. Courses will be paired with Clasé Azul tequila-infused margaritas and a shot of limited edition, ultra-premium Clasé Azul Ultra añejo.

Snaps at the Eastside Cannery, 5255 Boulder Highway, is offering a $6 All American Tax Free Breakfast from 6 to 10 a.m. Mondays through Fridays in April. It features blueberry French toast, one egg and bacon with a cup of coffee.

Marinated and seared beef tri tips with peppercorn sauce, mashed potatoes and chef’s choice vegetable is $9 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The market is sponsored by Desert Companion and will feature fresh produce, libation tastings by Southern Wine & Spirits, local artists, live entertainment, and cooking tips and chef demonstrations, with a new chef and dish featured each week.

TICKETS ON SALE FOR APRIL BEER FESTIVAL AT TIVOLI VILLAGE

Advance tickets are on sale for the second annual Great Vegas Festival of Beer, which is planned from 5 to 9 p.m. April 21 at Tivoli Village, 302 S. Rampart Blvd.

The event is presented by Motley Brews and is set to feature more than 150 brews from across the Southwest, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit area nonprofit groups.

Paid ticket holders will be able to access express entry lines. Beer tasting tickets are $27 for presale and $37 at the door, if available. The Brewer’s VIP Lounge is $37 presale and $47 at the door. Designated Driver tickets are $15 and are available only at the door.

The ticket cost includes admission, a tasting glass and samples of beer from more than 40 breweries. Food will be available for purchase.

SHARE OUR STRENGTH’S TASTE OF THE NATION SET FOR MAY 17 AT THE PALMS

Share Our Strength plans to host its 20th annual Taste of the Nation fundraising event from 7 to 9:30 p.m. May 17 at Rain Nightclub in the Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road.

A VIP champagne reception is planned for 6 p.m. The event will help raise funds to support SOS’s efforts to end childhood hunger in the Las Vegas Valley and across the nation.

More than 35 of the city’s chefs and restaurants plan to participate, including chef Carlos Guía of Wynn Las Vegas’ The Country Club —- A New American Steakhouse, Taste of the Nation chairman; Fleur by Hubert Keller, Alizé at The Top of The Palms, Society Café at Wynn Las Vegas, Scarpetta at the Cosmopolitan, N9NE Steakhouse and Nove Italiano at the Palms, Sushi Roku at The Forum Shops at Caesars and Tao/Lavo at The Venetian and Palazzo.

BORDER GRILL ADDS NEW DISHES TO WEEKEND BRUNCH

Border Grill at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has added new dishes and drinks to its Border Brunch menu.

The all-you-can-eat small plates are available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
