Southern Nevada kids can join the POP (Power of Produce) Club at the fresh52 farmers market to learn about local farming and to participate in tastings and other educational activities as ways to expose them to more fruit and vegetables. Participating kids receive a $5 voucher to use at the market to make their own produce choices. The club is part of an initiative to educate and engage children in the local food system and was made possible through a grant from Chipotle and a partnership with the Farmers Market Coalition. The program is set to run through October, or as long as supplies last. Visit fresh52.com.
