Driver in critical condition after early morning crash
A 22-year-old man struck a light pole and power box with his car early Sunday and was hospitalized in critical condition, Las Vegas police said.
Ryan Small of Las Vegas was driving a 1998 Mazda Protege at 5:25 a.m. near the intersection of Buffalo Drive and Gilmore Avenue.
Police said Small was traveling northbound on Buffalo when he lost control and his car began sliding sideways. The car crossed over the center line and continued across the southbound lanes, police said.
That’s when the car struck a power box and light pole.
Small was taken to University Medical Center.
