Female pedestrian in critical condition following accident

One person was in critical condition and a Las Vegas intersection was closed after an accident Monday evening, according to Las Vegas police.
About 5:30 p.m., police said a pedestrian, a female, was crossing a marked crosswalk near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Twin Lakes Drive when she was struck by a vehicle.
She was taken to University Medical Center with head trauma in critical condition.
Police said the driver was not impaired, but that they just did not see her.
The intersection is closed while police investigate. Fatal detail responded, police said.
