Fire damages vacant building near Stratosphere

A small structure caught fire Friday morning near the Stratosphere, according to the Las Vegas Fire Department.
The fire was reported at 5:10 a.m. at a small apartment building at 247 W. Baltimore Ave., department spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
“It was a small 10×20 apartment building that has been vacant for years,” Szymanski said.
The fire has been put out. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries were reported, according to a tweet from the fire department.
