Fire extinguished at abandoned southeast valley duplex

Fire crews extinguished a fire at an abandoned single-story duplex in the southeastern valley Friday morning, the Clark County Fire Department said.

At 11:35 a.m., the Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a “high-level” structural fire at 4442 Via San Rafael, Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan said. Upon arrival, personnel found smoke coming from the home’s roof. Crews extinguished the fire, Buchanan said.

The fire’s cause is under investigation and damages haven’t been estimated, he said. No injuries were reported.
