Heating shelters to open across Las Vegas Valley through Friday
Because of the bitter cold temperatures, the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition’s Inclement Weather Program will have shelters open through the valley from today to Friday:
■ 599 Greenway Road, Henderson, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
■ 3930 Cambridge St., 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
■ 1625 W. Carey Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
■ 441 E. Bonanza Road, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
■ 1650 S. Hollywood Blvd., 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
■ 251 W. Boston Ave., 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
■ 500 Harris St., Henderson, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
■ 3075 N. Walnut Ave., 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
■ The Salvation Army will continue to be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 33 W. Owens Ave., North Las Vegas.
It also operates an overnight shelter for men and women.
■ Catholic Charities 1511 Las Vegas Blvd. North, runs an overnight shelter for men.
■ The Shade Tree, 1 W. Owens Ave., North Las Vegas, offers overnight. shelter to women and children.
