Residents in a North Las Vegas neighborhood are being allowed back into their homes after a five-hour barricade that started Wednesday morning, police said.
Officers were called just after 10:30 a.m. to a house in the 2600 block of St. George Street, near Civic Center Drive and Carey Avenue, where a man was making threats and locked himself inside.
North Las Vegas police evacuated homes in the neighborhood while SWAT officers tried to coax the man out of the house.
The barricade had a “peaceful resolution” and the man was taken into police custody about 3:45 p.m., officer Aaron Patty said. Patty could not say what charges the man could face.
