House fire in southeast valley causes $75,000 in damage

A southeast valley house fire on Saturday caused $75,000 in damages and displaced the family living there.

Clark County Fire Department responded to a call just before 6:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Nightmoss Avenue, Fire Chief Gregory Cassell said. The fire started when a backyard barbecue caught some patio furniture on fire.

It took 37 firefighters to extinguish the blaze.

Fire departments from Clark County and Henderson were on scene to put out the fire.
