Human remains found in Overton campsite
Hikers found human remains near a campsite in Overton on Saturday, Las Vegas police said.
The death doesn’t appear to be suspicious, police spokeswoman officer Laura Meltzer said.
Police were called near Snowbird Mesa campground in Overton, about 70 miles north of Las Vegas, about 9 a.m., Meltzer said.
Hikers found the remains about a mile from the campground, Meltzer said. The person will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
