Illinois murder fugitive found in Las Vegas
A search for a fugitive wanted in a slaying and a police chase in Madison, Ill., ended in Las Vegas Thursday night, according to the U.S. marshals.
Turhan Robinson, 37, was arrested near East Charleston Boulevard and Christy Lane after authorities concluded Robinson had fled to Las Vegas, the U.S. Marshals said.
The marshals noted that Robinson was captured by Nevada’s U.S. Marshals Fugitive Investigative Strike Team, a joint-task force of local, state and federal authorities that searches for “violent fugitives.”
Robinson was taken to Clark County Detention Center and his extradition to Illinois is pending.
