Injured bicyclist’s condition improves hours after east valley collision

A man listed in critical condition after being struck and injured by a vehicle Saturday evening improved to good condition several hours later.

The man, riding a bicycle outside a marked crosswalk area, was struck while crossing traffic near the intersection of Manor Green Lane and North Lamb Boulevard about 5:02 p.m., according to Las Vegas police.

He suffered head and leg trauma, according to Metro Lt. Ken Romane, and was transported to the Trauma Center at University Medical Center. Though originally reported in critical condition, the man was said to have only minor injuries after a CAT scan.

The driver, who was not identified and suffered no injuries, stayed on the scene and was cooperating with police.
