Northbound Las Vegas Boulevard was closed at Flamingo Road for nearly four hours Wednesday after an advertising truck flipped on its side in front of the Margaritaville restaurant at the Flamingo, Las Vegas police said.
Police were called just before 3:15 p.m. to 3555 Las Vegas Blvd. South, north of East Flamingo Road, where a truck had flipped on its side and knocked over a palm tree.
Traffic on northbound Las Vegas Boulevard was closed at Flamingo, Metropolitan Police Department officer Larry Hadfield said at about 3:45 p.m.
The truck was upright at 6:10 p.m. and traffic was flowing smoothly on the boulevard about 40 minutes later, traffic cameras showed. Clark County firefighters pulled a man from the truck and took him to University Medical Center with injuries that weren’t life threatening, Hadfield said.
