Las Vegas man found dead in vehicle has been identified

The man whose body was found in a central valley vehicle earlier this month has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

He is 49-year-old Daniel Carlos Mandic of Las Vegas, staff said Thursday.

Mandic’s body was found about 12:30 p.m. Sept. 3 in the 1700 block of East Sahara Avenue, near the intersection of Spencer Street.

Police believe he was a vagrant. His death did not appear suspicious at that time.

It was not clear who found his body.

The coroner’s office will determine the cause and manner of Mandic’s death.
