Reports of gunfire and the discovery of a body didn’t quite add up Tuesday afternoon at the Clark County Wetlands Park.
Las Vegas police went to the park about 4:30 p.m. after getting reports of shots being fired. When they got there, officers said they found the body of a homeless man who appeared to live in the park.
But, Lt. Mark Reddon said, the man didn’t appear to have any gunshot wounds.
It also looked like the man had already been dead for several hours when police found him, Reddon said. The Clark County coroner’s office and homicide detectives will investigate further to determine if the gunshots might be linked to the death.
The dead man’s identity was not immediately available.
