Las Vegas woman killed in I-15 crash in California
A Las Vegas woman was killed and a man suffered what police called “major” injuries Wednesday after a rollover crash in Barstow, Calif.
About 5:50 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the single-vehicle crash of a 1999 Ford Explorer. The man, 69, was driving, and the woman, 66, was a passenger.
Police said the man lost control while driving north on Interstate 15. After swerving into the center median, the SUV rolled over several times, police said. The woman was declared dead, and the man was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Police did not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The victims’ names hadn’t been released Friday.
