Lockdown lifted at Petersen Elementary School in Las Vegas after report of nearby gunfire

The lockdown for Petersen Elementary School has been lifted after a report of gunfire near Maryland Parkway and Twain Avenue on Wednesday morning, according to Las Vegas police.

The school, at 3650 Cambridge St., was put under precautionary lockdown after police got a call saying shots were fired about 9:15 a.m. No one was hurt, but said an unoccupied vehicle got shot.

The lockdown lasted for about three hours.
