A maintenance worker making a house call Wednesday in the east valley found a man’s bloody body when he showed up, Las Vegas police said.
Officers were called to the house in the 5200 block of Crater Circle, near the intersection of Boulder Highway and Harmon Avenue, close to Sam’s Town casino, about 10:40 a.m. after the worker called 911.
Police said the slain man, believed to be in his 60s, had been dead between 12 and 24 hours.
It’s unclear exactly what was used to kill the man, but police are referring to the slaying as an “apparent stabbing.”
Evidence showed that the house had been ransacked. Though the weren’t any signs of a forced entry, Metro spokesman Lt. Dan McGrath said, “the house had been gone through.”
Police have not made an arrest and have no suspects.
