Man fatally struck by a vehicle in central Las Vegas
A man was fatally struck while walking in central Las Vegas Tuesday night.
The crash occurred around 6 p.m. in the 1700 block of East Karen Avenue, near South Maryland Parkway and East Sahara Avenue when a 2011 Mitsubishi Galant struck the man while he was walking outside a cross walk, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department.
The man who was struck was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died.
Police said the 49-year-old Las Vegas driver did not show signs of impairment and stayed at the scene of the crash.
