Man found dead in Henderson public pool identified
The man found dead in a Henderson public pool last week has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
A pool employee discovered Daniel Ross Jeffries at Wells Outdoor Swimming Pool, about a half mile from the intersection of Sunset Road and Boulder Highway, at about 7 a.m. on July 17.
The 58-year-old Henderson resident was declared dead on scene and no foul play is suspected, Henderson spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said. The pool has no security surveillance cameras.
It was the first drowning in a Henderson public pool as far as staff knows, Richards said. The pool was to reopen the next day.
