Man shot twice while driving in northeast valley

A driver was expected to survive after suffering two gunshot wounds in the northeast valley Friday night, Las Vegas police said.

Officers and a medical crew were called about 7:15 p.m. to an AutoZone, 2181 N. Nellis Blvd, near the Lake Mead Boulevard intersection, said Metro Lt. Michael Mauntel.

A man, who was not identified by police, was shot while driving, crashed his car and walked into the auto parts store, where 911 was called, Mauntel said.

He was hospitalized with wounds not deemed life-threatening and wasn‘t cooperating with police, Mauntel said.

More details were not immediately available.
