Man wounded in north valley drive-by shooting expected to survive

A man is expected to survive after a drive-by shooting in the north valley early Monday morning, Las Vegas police said.

Officers were called about 12:45 a.m. to the 3300 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North, near Cheyenne Avenue, Metro said.

The man was walking when a car drove by and someone fired from the vehicle’s passenger window, Metro spokesman officer Larry Hadfield said.

The man was hospitalized, Hadfield said.

No arrests were announced, and no vehicle description was given.
