Metro seeks help finding suspect in Tuesday stabbing

Metro is asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in a stabbing earlier this week.
He is Angel Miranda-Sainz, 57, of Las Vegas.
Police say he stabbed a woman Tuesday at Park Forest Apartments, 50 N. 21st St. She was taken to University Medical Center with multiple stab wounds.
An update on her condition wasn’t immediately available.
The attacker fled in a white Mercury Marquis, police said, evading patrol cars as they tried to stop him. Police chased the car to near the intersection of Boulder Highway and U.S. Highway 95 where they tried to ram the Marquis with a patrol car — known in law enforcement as a PIT manuever — but the other car got away.
Police describe Miranda-Sainz as a standing 5 foot 4 inches and weighing 140 pounds. He was last seen driving his 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis, with Nevada license plate 591-XZY.
Metro is asking anyone with any information about the whereabouts of Miranda-Sainz to contact the LVMPD Force Investigation Team at 702-828-8452. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
