Motorcyclist killed in central Las Vegas crash

A motorcyclist died after a crash with a vehicle in central Las Vegas Saturday afternoon.

At around 3:35 p.m. a white 2014 Jeep Compass was heading west on East Flamingo Road, west of Euclid Street, in the left turn lane as a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle headed east on Flamingo. The crash occurred as the Jeep made a left turn into the motorcycle’s path, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The 42-year-old man riding the motorcycle died at the scene.

Police said the driver of the Jeep was taken to the hospital after suffering minor injuries but did not show signs of impairment.

No further information was available Saturday night.
