Motorcyclist killed near state line identified
A motorcyclist killed in crash Monday has been identified as Brett Alan Standal, the Clark County coroner said.
Standal was riding a Honda XR650L northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard when the vehicle overturned. He was thrown from the motorcycle about 7:10 a.m., 12 miles north of the California state line, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The man was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash was the 59th fatal crash and the 12th fatal motorcycle crash in Highway Patrol’s southern command jurisdiction this year, according to a news release.
