No arrest in North Las Vegas accident that killed pedestrian

No arrest was made and alcohol did not appear to be a factor in a Monday night auto-pedestrian accident that killed one man, according to North Las Vegas police.

Police responded about 8:30 p.m. to a crash involving a 67-year-old man near Cheyenne Avenue and Commerce Street.

Police believe the man attempted to cross Cheyenne outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a silver Toyota sedan, driven by a 23-year-old woman.

The driver remained at the scene and was not injured in the crash.

The identity of the man who died will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
