One person hospitalized after apartment fire
One person was hospitalized Friday morning after a small fire in a downtown apartment.
A cooking fire started in an apartment at 811 Bridger Ave., near Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard South, about 5:15 a.m., Las Vegas Fire Department spokesman Tim Syzmanski said.
The building was evacuated as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
One person was being treated for smoke inhalation, he said.
