One woman wounded, another arrested in Las Vegas shooting
A woman was shot and another woman was arrested in a domestic dispute in the northwest valley on Saturday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.
Police were called just after 2:30 p.m. to a parking lot at 5400 Cheyenne Ave., near Rancho Drive, where they found a woman who was shot. Police said the other woman, who was arrested about two hours later, fired numerous rounds in the apartment complex.
The wounded woman, whose head was struck by a bullet fragment, was taken to University Medical Center. Police said she was alert, conscious and talking when she was transported. She was released just before 5 p.m.
The incident involved the woman, an ex-boyfriend and his female friend, police said.
