Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash in west Las Vegas Valley

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning in the west Las Vegas Valley.
According to police, the crash occurred at about 1:18 a.m. near Vegas Drive and Rainbow Boulevard.
Authorities said that evidence at the scene, witness statements and video evidence indicated that a Tesla Model Y was traveling southbound on Rainbow Boulevard approaching the intersection with Vegas Drive.
A male pedestrian was attempting to cross Rainbow Boulevard on the north side of the intersection when he was struck by the Tesla.
The Tesla driver failed to stop at the scene scene or notify police, authorities said.
The pedestrian, who was identified by the coroner’s office as Patrick Deloriea, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash marked the 66th fatal traffic-related collision in Las Vegas police’s jurisdiction for 2025.
