Plane with Cal State Bakersfield team makes emergency landing at McCarran

Cal State Bakersfield’s basketball team made an emergency stop at McCarran International Airport on Wednesday.
The Oklahoma City-bound flight departed at 7:42 a.m. and made the emergency landing for a medical issue at 8:19 a.m., McCarran spokesman Chris Jones said. The person who had the medical issue was not a member of the team nor a coach, he said.
The person was taken to an ambulance, but it is unknown if that person was taken to a hospital or to which one.
The charter plane, Sun Country Airlines Flight 8606, was delayed about an hour, but has since taken off.
