Police activity briefly shuts down I-15 in Las Vegas Valley
The northbound lanes of Interstate 15 at Silverado Ranch Boulevard were shut down Thursday because of police activity, according to a post on X from the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada.
The Metropolitan Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol and Clark County Fire Department were on the scene investigating.
The police activity cited in the post was unspecified, but traffic camera images showed vehicles being diverted off the highway.
I-15 reopened to traffic Thursday evening, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.
