Police identify man arrested in Thursday crash
Las Vegas police identified Ricardo Canas, 24, as the man arrested in connection with a crash in front of Snyder Elementary School that sent a man and child to a hospital.
The man and child were struck by a car near the intersection of Charleston and Lamb boulevards on Thursday. Witnesses at the scene said that Canas, who stayed at the scene of the crash and called police, appeared inebriated at the time of his arrest.
Canas was booked into Clark County Detention Center on Thursday on a charge of drunken driving that resulted in substantial bodily harm.
