Russell Road ramp to NB I-15 reopens
The Russell Road on-ramp to northbound Interstate 15 has reopened after being shut down for nearly five hours after a semi’s trailer broke in half, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The trailer broke about 10:30 a.m. because of an “improper load,” said NHP trooper Loy Hixson. The truck was carrying safes, and, as it was turning onto the ramp, the safes shifted to one side.
The excess weight caused the trailer to snap, Hixson said.
The ramp was reopened about 3:00 p.m.
