Scooter rider killed in collision with sedan in NE Las Vegas
A person was killed Wednesday afternoon after a scooter collided with a sedan in the northeast valley.
Las Vegas police said the collision happened about 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Carey Avenue and Sandy Lane. A person riding a scooter was struck and killed by a sedan. The intersection was shut down as police investigated.
The person died at University Medical Center.
Detectives were headed to the scene to investigate. It was not immediately clear what caused the accident.
The Clark County coroner’s office will release the name of the person killed.
