Spring Mountain Ranch State Park outside of Las Vegas has six springs that pour out hundreds of gallons of water per minute. “Water on the Meadow” is a conservation-minded water-slide event.
On Sunday, staff rolled out a 50-foot water slide on the picnic meadow and turned on the sprinklers. Rangers also offered an interactive program about water conservation in Las Vegas. The event will be held four more times this month on Aug. 8, 16, 22 and 30.
