Two men injured in North Las Vegas crash

Two men were hospitalized with serious injuries Monday afternoon in a North Las Vegas crash, police said.

About 2:30 p.m., North Las Vegas police responded to a call at the intersection of Allen Lane and West Alexander Road, spokesman and Officer Aaron Patty said. A Ford Mustang headed west on Alexander struck a white truck going south on Allen.

The 35-year-old man driving the truck was critically injured in the crash and the 30-year-old Mustang driver was seriously injured, Patty said. Both men were taken to University Medical Center.

The Mustang driver was speeding, Patty said. Police believe he may have been driving under the influence of alcohol.

The intersection was cleared and traffic flow was back to normal by 4:00 p.m., Patty said.
