Two people killed in crash on Boulder Highway Saturday night

Two people have died following a two-vehicle crash Saturday night, Las Vegas Police said in a release Sunday.

At approximately 10:51 p.m. Saturday, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Boulder Highway and Desert Inn Road, according to police.

Police said a northbound 2013 Dodge Dart, driven by an 81-year-old woman, was making a left turn from Boulder Highway onto Desert Inn Road. A 2006 Ford 500 driven by Keith Prassas, 45, was traveling south on Boulder Highway in the right of three southbound lanes. The front of the Ford struck the passenger side of the Dodge, and both vehicles slid to a stop in the intersection, the release said.

Prassas and the driver of the Dodge, as well as a 83-year-old male passenger of the Dodge, were all transported to Sunrise Hospital. Both occupants of the Dodge were pronounced dead at the hospital despite all resuscitative efforts, the release said. They have yet to be identified. Prassas was admitted to Sunrise Hospital with serious injuries, the release said.

Police are currently investigating the crash. No further information was immediately available.
