Weather service issues flash-flood watch Tuesday for Clark County

After back-to-back thunderstorms last weekend, the National Weather Service has issued a flash-flood watch until 11 p.m. Tuesday for Clark County.

On Saturday, Henderson and Boulder Highway reported golf-ball size hail and rain that reached up to nearly .6 inches in just five minutes.

Thousands of residents were without power and the Atrium Garden condominium complex took the worst of the storm.

Residents were evacuated and the American Red Cross set up a shelter at Desert Pines High School for them.

There is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms in the valley on Tuesday and a 50 percent chance of storms in Mount Charleston.
