A woman was hospitalized and a man was arrested after a Wednesday morning shooting a few blocks from UNLV, Las Vegas police said.
The woman was shot about 11 a.m. on the 1000 block of Sierra Vista Drive, near Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road, police said.
The shooting might have stemmed from a tenant-landlord dispute, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.
The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with undisclosed injuries, and the man was arrested, she said.
Detectives with Metro’s violent crimes unit were investigating the shooting Wednesday afternoon.
