Woman who died Sunday after snorkeling at Lake Mead identified

The Clark County coroner has identified the woman who died after snorkeling at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area on Sunday afternoon.

Just after 1:30 p.m., Bonnie B. Wong, 63, of Las Vegas, surfaced unconscious while snorkeling in the Overton Arm of Lake Mead.

Wong was taken by boat to Calville Bay but medical responders were unable to revive her. She was pronounced dead at 2:36 p.m., the National Park Service said.
