Fire burns roof at Las Vegas Strip resort

A fire burned on a rooftop at the Sahara on the Strip Tuesday afternoon, a fire official said.
The Clark County Fire Department said it received calls just after 5 p.m. for a fire at 2535 Las Vegas Blvd. South on the low-rise roof of the Sahara, said Deputy Fire Chief Wayne L. Dailey in an emailed statement.
Arriving fire crews reported smoke showing from the second story roof, the email said. Firefighters got to the roof and located a fire that was contained to construction debris, Dailey said, adding the blaze was quickly extinguished.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported, according to the email. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
