One person died in a fatal crash just north of UNLV late Wednesday.
The crash happened about 8:10 p.m. near 804 E. Flamingo Road, just north of the Flamingo and Swenson Street intersection, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon said.
One motorcycle and one car were involved; the coroner’s office will name the person who died once family has been notified.
Police said the second motorist stayed on scene, cooperated with police and did not seem impaired.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of Swenson at the intersection were shut down, and police said they wouldn’t open up again until about midnight.
