The Regional Transportation Commission is reporting traffic is backed up on southbound Interstate 15 as people head out of Las Vegas after the New Year holiday weekend.
The RTC said on Twitter around 5:30 p.m. that traffic is backed up for 9 miles. A few hours earlier, RTC reported that the backup was 16 miles.
