One killed in late-night accident
One person is dead after a late Monday accident near Blue Diamond Road and Decatur Boulevard.
A Jeep traveling eastbound on Blue Diamond around 11:30 p.m. ran a red light at Decatur and collided with a Hyundai traveling northbound, according to Nevada Highway Patrol. The driver of the Hyundai died while being transported to the hospital.
The driver of the Jeep suffered minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
