The company, which now has more than 17,000 drivers statewide, gave details of UberEspanol at an unveiling event at the Latin Chamber of Commerce.

Nevada becomes the fifth state in the country to have UberEspanol available, joining California, Illinois, Arizona and Texas.

An Uber official said in Nevada, more than 300 Spanish-speaking contracted drivers are partnering with the company.

The company also conducted a job fair at the Latin Chamber office to recruit new drivers.
