Temperatures are expected to hit 90 degrees this week in Las Vegas before cooling down for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday’s high reached 79 degrees. Tuesday’s high is expected to be 86, meteorologist Chris Outler said. The hottest temperatures will come Wednesday and Thursday, with both days expected to be close to 90 degrees, he said.
A storm front moving into the valley Friday will bring cooler temperatures and higher winds, Outler said. Friday’s high is expected to drop to 86 degrees, and Saturday’s down to 78.
Outler said there is a slight chance the storm could bring rain.
