Vandever, Thunderbirds stop Sandy Valley
Indian Springs’ Nick Vandever rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns to help the Thunderbirds (4-4, 2-3 Class 1A Southern League) defeat the defeat host Sandy Valley (0-8, 0-6) 65-30 on Friday.
Indian Springs built a 27-0 halftime lead and led 39-16 after three quarters.
Adam Reinke added 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and Roger Atchley rushed for 85 yards and two scores. Junior Baker rushed for a touchdown and returned a fumble for another score for the Thunderbirds.
